You Know Things Are Bad When…
In a Wall Street Journal puff piece, titled The World’s District Attorney, regarding the retirement of New York County District Attorney Robert Morgenthau, Morgenthau has this to say.
The D.A. says that while he’s had to deal with the federal bureaucracy for decades, “it has just gotten worse” and “they ought to burn it down and start all over again. It’s extremely worrisome.”
Recognizing the veracity in Morgenthau’s statement is important, but also understand that individuals such as Morgenthau, being a lifelong enforcer for the State, who recognize the “extremely worrisome” aspect of the federal bureaucracy, and state that “they ought to burn it down and start all over again,” are simply mouthing words which seem to indicate a return to freedom from the State, as their desire to “start all over again” illustrates.
