Vladimir Soloviev’s Forboding - Anti-theological Hate
Reading, today, that one Blake Page is quitting West Point, six months prior to his scheduled graduation, allegedly due to overt religion within the military, Christian religion that is, recalls to my mind the forboding of Russian philosopher Vladimir Soloviev.
I have a forboding of the near approach of a time when Christians will gather together again in the Catacombs, because of the persecution of the faith—a persecution less brutal, perhaps, than that of Nero’s day, but not less refined in its severity, consummated by mendacity, derision, and all the hypocrisies.
