The United States of the Medicated

Have you heard about this?

"President Bush plans to unveil next month a sweeping mental health initiative that recommends screening for every citizen and promotes the use of expensive antidepressants and antipsychotic drugs favored by supporters of the administration."

Words almost fail me, except for “I’ll self medicate, thank you very much.” And screen this (obscene gesture not viewable at this time).

“Bush to screen population for mental illness."
