The Banality of the TSA

In response to the attempt by an individual to immolate himself on a Northwest Airlines flight, along with his fellow innocent passengers, the TSA has evidently issued new security regulations, to wit, that all passengers must remain in their seats for the last hour of the flight.

This regulation is just stupid and provides zero additional security.  The individual who attempted this little fire act on the Northwest flight was seated, just sitting there, quietly under his blanket, attempting to murder a plane full of people, and if this new “security” regulation had been in effect during this flight, it would have done nothing, nothing, to prevent it.
