Politics, Money, Nascar Sponsorships and A Proposal

Almost daily, one can read an op-ed or other commentary piece decrying money’s influence in politics.  Here’s a modest proposal.

In Nascar, drivers and their team members all walk around with their attire emblazoned with patches of their official corporate Nascar sponsors, and they look like this.

I think we should require all politicians, including the president, to wear attire such as Nascar drivers wear, emblazoned with their corporate sponsors’ patches, so that Americans can see just where the money is coming from which influences the politicians and their votes in Congress and the Senate.  Not only would it allow Americans to economically punish corporations for their meddling in politics with their very influential money, but it would exhibit the politicians in attire as the money grubbing boors they are.
