Well, at Least Kerry Wasn't Fired
I have no love for Kerry, or any professional job seeker for that matter, but what follows deserves to be disseminated.
The headline: “Clark Aims to Pull Rank on Kerry in N.H."
A quote from Clark from the linked article above.
"It’s one thing to be a hero as a junior officer. He’s done that, I respect that,” Clark said. “But I’ve got the military experience at the top as well as at the bottom."
I’ll say, Clark can’t get much farther from the bottom after being fired.

You seem in fact to have no love for any man holding or trying to get a political position. How then ought the country to be governed? By sitting back and badmouthing anyone who tries to help out?

Excellent question. Attributed to Thomas Jefferson, the quote, “The government which govern’s least, governs best,” is, a principle that should be embraced by Americans, and, more importantly, by politicians. Unfortunately, that principle seems to have been discarded by American politicians and forgotten by the American people. There is not now, or in the recent political past, a politician that has stood up in front of Americans and stated that he truthfully thinks the principle embodied in that quote is sound. Sad actually. My “sitting back and badmouthing,” as you say, is my own feeble attempt to, hopefully, cause you think about this, rather than to feel.
I leave you with the following quote, which, I think, accurately states, in actuality, what the political process here in America is accomplishing.
"Democracy consists of choosing your dictators, after they’ve told you what you think it is you want to hear."
