True Enough

"Three Great Religious Truths

1.  Jews do not recognize Jesus as the Messiah.
2.  Protestants do not recognize the Pope as the leader of the Christian faith.
3.  Baptists do not recognize each other in the liquor store or at Hooters."

  1. Jews do not recognize Jesus as the Messiah.

BUT Jews in general believe in the concept of a Messiah, would you agree with that Mr. Venlet?

Jews believed that a Messiah was coming. Many Jews just assumed that God would send them a Militant. Someone who would help them to overthrow the Romans by force.

The majority of Jews believed in a Messiah. They were just waiting for another King David to come along … right Mr. Venlet?

  2. Serpent.  Yes, the Jewish faith prophesies a Messiah and many Jewish individuals believe in just this Messiah’s prophesied coming.  Jesus, as presented in the Bible, is not recognized, by the majority of Jewish individuals, as the Messiah prophesied in the Jewish tradition.  Thus, to a large percentage of Jewish faithul, the arrival of the Messiah is still an event to be anticipated.

  3. John Venlet: Judas Priest, Serpent, it was posted as simply an amusing anecdote.

I’m not jumping on you Mr. Venlet.

I am just pointing out a similarilty between Christainity and Judism that a lot of Individuals seem to overlook.

Namely both religions are inherently Messianic.
