“Too Few, Too Late”

I retired to my bed last evening, ignorant as to how the quadrennial circus would play out, having studiously stayed away from both the teevee and the computer since late afternoon.  I slept well, and soundly.

I did not turn my computer on until 6:39 a.m. this morning, so I was unaware that Obama will remain president until I clicked over to Drudge’s site and saw this:

OBAMA 54,773,837*
ROMNEY 53,716,689

I then stopped by Mike Soja’s place, and read these words from his post titled Thanks for all the rotten fish.

Not to make any mistake, tonight in no way marks the beginning of the end, for that unhappy moment occurred nebulously decades ago.  Tonight is but one more confirmation of the path we’ve long been on.

I wonder how many will now realize that the political process in this country is failure.

Too few, too late.

Too few, too late, indeed.

  1. I wonder how many will now realize that the political process in this country is failure.

Just about everybody, actually - at least as reported, intrepidly, here.

Unfortunately, with the power down and all it’s kind of hard for anybody to do anything about it. So yeah, too few, too late, if you believe what you read.
