This is My Hand

A short Saturday morning read regarding Moore’s proof of external objects, posted at the blog Minority of One.  The proof.

"1. Here is a hand. (Holds up hand.)
2. Here is another hand. (Holds up other hand.)
3. Therefore, there are external objects.

  1. Hey, thanks for the plug.  grin

Glad to hear you like cigars, too.  I worked in a smoke shop for four years.  Might end up working there again for a little while between graduation and grad school, if all works out well…

A fine cigar is a pleasure.  I prefer the Fuente line.

  3. Well, I can’t tell you what my favorite is, because I enjoy all kinds of cigars.  Depends a lot on my mood.  But Fuentes definitely rank fairly high on the list.  They tend to be a bit mild for my taste, though; I’d generally hit a Partagas or a Cohiba before a Fuente.  Surprisingly, I really like the Drew Estate Naturals… surprisingly, because I usually consider flavored cigars to be an abomination.  (Yeah, they claim they’re not flavored, but I claim they’re full of crap.)

Hey, if you ever want to save some money on cigars, you can order them from the place I used to work at.  It’s in New Hampshire, so it’s tax-free.  Unless they’ve changed things since I worked there, the shipping is also very reasonable as well: it’s just whatever they pay at the post office.

Checked out the link.  The Fuente pricing is right in line with what I currently pay, well, except for a tin of Cubanitos.  They are 2 bucks cheaper.  I’ll keep the shop in mind.

Partagas does make a fine line of stogies.  I’ve enjoyed many of them.
