Sucking at the Government’s Teat Reaches a New Low

Civil rights, indeed, are important, but Sen. Jeff Merkley (D - OR) seems to have such a breast fixation that breast feeding and breast pump performance standards will now become a civil right under S. 1244 A bill to amend the Civil Rights Act of 1964 to protect breastfeeding by new mothers, to provide for a performance standard for breast pumps, and to provide tax incentives to encourage breastfeeding.

Hey, I enjoy breasts myself, but I hardly think breastfeeding or performance standards for breast pumps are a civil right.  You just can’t make this stuff up.
