So, What Reasons, Do They Teach, As To Why the Pilgrims Came to America?

“Students Free to Thank Anybody, Except God"

"Young students across the state read stories about the Pilgrims (search) and Native Americans, simulate Mayflower (search) voyages, hold mock feasts and learn about the famous meal that temporarily allied two very different groups.

But what teachers don’t mention when they describe the feast is that the Pilgrims not only thanked the Native Americans for their peaceful three-day indulgence, but repeatedly thanked God."

  1. When I was attending Catholic school, the way to rebel and prove your “hipness” was to declare yourself an atheist. The only thing boomer parents are going to accomplish if they keep this shit up is to turn the next generation into Christians. The quickest way to get them interested in anything is to make it seem like some dark, forbidden secret that your parents would just DIE if you ever knew about it or, Gaia forbid, actually BELIEVED that crap. Why else did so many children of hippies become suit-and-tie Republicans?
