Record Births in 2007 Is Both Good News and Bad News

The news that the year 2007 was a record year for births in the United States is both good and bad.  As the article announcing this, US births break record; 40 pct out-of-wedlock, notes.

This news is good, not simply because it means that population of the United States is replacing itself.  It’s good news because these newborns need to pay off all the debt that Obama and Congress are accumulating for future generations to pay.

The news is bad, though, not simply because forty percent (40%) of these births are out of wedlocks.  It’s bad news because 40% percent of these out-of-wedlock newborns will probably require state aid to survive.
