Rap, His Knuckles

In the comment thread, here, Serpent asks whether I care to comment on the rantings of rapper Kris Parker here.

Well, I’ve read Parker’s dumb ass comments about the attacks on September 11 and find them beyond asinine.  As for Parker being “a fellow Anarchist,” well, I didn’t realize I had aligned myself in any anarchist camp.  And as far as Parker himself is concerned, based on his comments in the linked article, I think he is wholly ignorant of the subject of anarchy, beyond the misguided belief, which is in actuality simply ignorance, and held by the majority of individuals, that anarchy is a bunch of crazed assholes running around, willy nilly, with machine guns and molotov cocktails wreaking havoc.

I wouldn’t let Parker shine my shoes.

  1. John Venlet: Well, I’ve read Parker’s dumb ass comments about the attacks on September 11 and find them beyond asinine.

He makes two central points that You would BOTH seem to agree on.

    1) Only imbeciles vote (Democracy is Evil). Voting in a corrupt society adds more corruption
    2) We would be better off if the United States government did not exist. America has to commit suicide if the world is to be a better place.

John Venlet: As for Parker being “a fellow Anarchist,” well, I didn’t realize I had aligned myself in any anarchist camp.

They say you learn something new everyday.

I was under the impression you were an “Anarchist” Mr. Venlet.

John Venlet: And as far as Parker himself is concerned, based on his comments in the linked article, I think he is wholly ignorant of the subject of anarchy, beyond the misguided belief, which is in actuality simply ignorance, and held by the majority of individuals, that anarchy is a bunch of crazed assholes running around, willy nilly, with machine guns and molotov cocktails wreaking havoc.

Well I am one of those majority of misguided individuals awash in ignorance on the subject of Anarchy then. Because when the law becomes subjective (i.e. Anarchy) then I would say that leads inevitably to a bunch of crazed assholes running around willy nilly (“randomly”) with machine guns and molotov cocktails.

Of course as I have said in the past Anarchy is an inherently unstable system with a very short half-life. Typically it decays (or evolves if you prefer) into a Totalitarian system of government in short order. But of course that is based on my own observations without the benefit of your insights and vast knowledge on this subject.

Perhaps you will enlighten me further?

  2. Serpent, What you need to be “enlightened” about, regarding anarchy, along with the “majority of misguided individuals,” cannot be taught to you by me, as you already know it, though your comments show you have forgotten.

What you have to enlighten YOURSELF about, is, that you have to unlearn your conditioned response to Pavlov’s (the State) whistle in order to remember, and be free.

  3. Finally, you cast a meme (a spell) that strikes the target (remember … Old Friend?).

Mr. Venlet, my algorithm cannot operate under the assumption that all other individuals are out to annihilate me, and that seems to be precisely what you are trying to argue.

You seem to believe that the rather nebulous concept of “Government” can be separated from the concept of “Society” (Individuality). Yet you have not articulated precisely how this could be achieved (even in theory, much less in practice). Yet you assume that I will simply take you at your word (on blind “Faith”) and go off on some quest to prove your point.

Perhaps you desire Solipsism? You have given me no reason to believe that is not the case. Perhaps you really do believe that everyone (all of reality) is “out to get you”?

That would certainly appear to be the more likely (more logical, more parsimonious) explanation for your worldview.

I’d like to be wrong about this. I pray that I am wrong.

  4. I don’t think that is what I said at all, but, if that’s all you have to go on, by all means begin your “quest.”

  5. As I stated such a quest would require Faith on my part.

And Faith is a quality I lack utterly.
