Hey, That Anarchist Looks Like My Mom
While doing a Google search this morning, for information unrelated to this post, I stumbled across an article posted at StarTribune.com titled ‘Anarchist’ looked like someone’s mom. Catchy headline. Anyway, if you hit that link, you’ll see a photo of the so called RNC Eight; as an aside, what is it with authorities assigning labels such as RNC Eight or Gang of Four to groups like this?; a group of young men and women who have been “charged with criminal conspiracy “in furtherance of terrorism,” accused of attempting to provoke a riot and prevent the Republican National Convention from taking place.”
With the conventions of both parties long past and forgotten, and “The One” in president-elect mode, the individuals who comprise the so called “RNC Eight” are also forgotten and are simply at the mercy of the state.
A straight Google search provides links galore regarding the RNC Eight, and a Google News search of RNC Eight provides a plethora of links also, though not many that seem to provide any actual information.
In reading a few pieces regarding the young people charged with “criminal conspiracy in furtherance of terrorism” a rational individual, who truly supports freedom of speech, notes that the young people did a lot of discussing about disrupting the Republican National Convention, but beyond that, there is nothing. Nothing.
