Hallejuah Brothers and Sisters, Hallejuah!

My oh my, John Edwards is predicting a revival.

“‘When John Kerry is president, people like Christopher Reeve are going to walk. Get up out of that wheelchair and walk again’... “

The current Drudge banner headline (12:23 P.M.), and the accompanying photo of Edwards, is reminiscent of a Mencken description of religious folk glorifyin’ bein’ saved.

My eyes have seen the glory.  Boy oh boy.

  1. Don’t believe your lying eyes Mr. Venlet.

    Atheism is not a religion.

In order for a philosophy to be a religion the people espousing that philosophy have to acknowledge (admit) it is a religion.

And as any Atheists will tell you Atheism isn’t a religion because Atheists are “smart” (superior), and religious people are “stupid” (inferior).

  2. I,ve always thought that John Edwards looked like the Televangelist Jim Baker of the PTL!

  3. so, getting someone to acknowledge somehting changes reality?

  4. Well that is the great thing about Reality—isn’t it now?

Reality is Reality whether you acknowledge it or not.

Which has been my little theme with Mr. Venlet here regarding the non-existence of “Free Will” (in Reality).

But I was attempting to articulate the notion that Acknowledgment of some facet of reality is an expression of Awareness (Perception) of some facet of reality.

  5. But that still comes down to atheists’ non-Acknowledgment of relaity.

  6. Sure.

What I am saying is that your level of evolution is based on your level of self-awareness (Awareness of what is True and False in reality).

Of course your level of self-awareness is preordained (by TLOP) and totally beyond your control.  wink

TLOP = The Laws of Physics (or “God” if you prefer)

  7. Good ol’ fashioned revival politics…

I wouldn’t have believed church and
state could be combined in such a novel
    way.

    Aack!
