Burning Down the House (4th hand)

Via InstaPundit via Lopez at The Corner we are informed of this.

"I am listening to KRSI (Radio Sedaye Iran) right now. There are many Iranians calling (from Tehran, and Gorgan, etc.).

All reports indicate that almost every neighborhood in Tehran is on fire. People are throwing home-made bombs, Molotov cocktails, etc. into the homes of mullahs, and burning pictures of Khamenei in complete defiance of his recent edict to mourn during the month of Muharram."

Good for them.

  1. ... Or not. Google News seems to think that it’s an old Zoroastrian cult ritual (Halloween for Persians, or sumpin’).

Further, KSRI has a website, ksri.com, which resolves to one Alireza Morovati, prop., who is decribed here as an expat (in Beverly Hills, no less) working to overthrow the fundamentalists in Iran. Taken with the whole National Review link-in, not exactly an unbiased source.

I think this is about as big of a deal as Devil’s Night in Detroit.

  2. 4th hand reports are not as accurate as one could wish for.
