A Petition

The State of Louisiana has petitioned the United States government to be allowed to secede.

We petition the Obama administration to:

Peacefully grant the State of Louisiana to withdraw from the United States of America and create its own NEW government.

The petition, currently, has 3,204 signatures.

  1. I say let them go.

Louisiana sucks up more federal entitlement and pork dollars than they could ever hope to remit in taxes. The state’s a parasitic tick on the greater republic and ought to be encouraged in their asinine effort to secede.

  2. It would make the map of the US look less esthetic though.

On the other hand, perhaps we could replace them with Alberta.

  6. Nice try, Don.

Born and bred fourth generation conservative Texan who finally had her fill of republican bullshit.

Please, move to Louisiana. They could use a few more low information idiots to stock their dank, secessionist, welfare pond.

By the way, Texas won’t ever leave the union. We know where our bread is well buttered. More DoD dollars thickly spread all over the state’s bases and military contractors.

I bet you’d like a nice bloody war with Iran, Don. So would most businessmen in Texas.

  7. Well Daphne, I’ve never been a rep or dem and still don’t understand how intelligent people can choose anyone to rule over them.

I have lived almost everywhere and have allegiance to no imaginary lines on a map.

Funny, you like war money but don’t like war.
Good luck with that cognitive dissonance thing.

Louisiana? I designed 18 highly hurricane resistant homes there a few years ago so moving there in the future is a possibility. I likes the money don’t ya know?

  8. Hey Daphne,
    First you said this:
“Louisiana sucks up more federal entitlement and pork dollars than they could ever hope to remit in taxes.”

    Then you said this:
“We know where our bread is well buttered. More DoD dollars thickly spread all over the state‚Äôs bases and military contractors.”

    Nice hypocrisy ya got there.
