12th Street Rag - Interlude
Tuesday evening, the night before her partial knee replacement surgery, my Mum, who is 81, was in a talent show put on at her residence, which happens to be a place where many older folks reside.
Mum played the 12th Street Rag, and performed, as usual, a bang up job at the piano.
Here’s Happi Moore playing the 12th Street Rag (1:08), who, when this video was posted in 2007, was 88. My Mum would’ve liked Happi Moore I rather think. Enjoy.
Wow, dem are mighty dexterous fingers for an 88 yr old. I betchya she can text faster than lightening.
Posted by RKN on 01/17 at 06:43 PMRKN, those are some dexterous fingers, especially when you consider that Happi’s hands look to be rather affected by arthritis. I don’t know about the texting, though, especially when I consider a few of my Mum’s texts and emails.
