Michael Vick Stands on his Own Two Feet

When news of Michael Vick’s participation in dog fighting made the news, back in July 2007, I labeled him a bastard in this post, and noted that a total loss of income would be a more suitable punishment than time in jail.

Vick is now released from prison, and has been signed by the Philadelphia Eagles.  Last night, Vick was on the teevee show 60 Minutes and squarely accepted the blame for his despicable participation in dog fighting with this statement.

I blame me.

It’s not often, any longer, that you will see an individual stand on his own two feet and acknowledge that their travails are their own rather than passing blame to spankings as a kid, or some such blather.

I hope Michael Vick achieves a new level of success as a quarterback for the Eagles.

Commies for Obama and His Koolaid Drinkers

Nothing like support from the Communist Party USA to bolster your image and socialist ideology of universal health care, hey Obama?

Within our country, the Obamajority is needed to take to the streets in support of health care with a public option paid for by reversing the obscene tax giveaways to the super rich during the Bush years. If health care reform fails, it will be a giant step backwards for the Obama administration and for working people, the labor movement, African American, Latino, Asian-Pacific Island communities, women and youth on every issue including the economy, peace and democracy.

Commies for Obama.  Are you still questioning Obama’s, and his followers’, ideology?

Bald Faced Liars

Billy Beck points out, in a post titled Moral Outrage, Nancy Pelosi’s and Steny Hoyer’s bald faced lie, expressed in a USA Today op-ed, that opposing Obama’s health care (DeathCare) push is “un-Amerian.”

That is not the only bald faced lie expressed in said op-ed.  Here’s Nancy Pelosi lying through her eye teeth.

Members of Congress are not listening to any back home “constituent.”  They are shoving a socialist, ideological agenda down the throats of Americans, completely deaf to the gasps of Americans slowly being suffocated.

Michigan’s Governor Jennifer Granholm expresses her love of stolen loot to second in command chief looter Vice President Joe Biden.

No doubt recalling the time they shared when Gov. Jennifer Granholm prepped him for his debate with Sarah Palin, Vice President Joe Biden was feeling the love when he came to Michigan on Wednesday bearing gifts for automobile battery production.

When Granholm introduced Biden as “the man with the cash,” he said, “The question is, would the governor love me if I had no money?” Later, he said Granholm keeps raising the ante.

“It used to be she liked me for my millions. Now, it’s billions.”

Telling, no?

Hey, Just Like Most Police Internal Investigations

When a cop is accused of some nefarious doings, say shooting and killing an unarmed suspect, and citizens demand an investigation, an internal investigation is often inititated.  Nine times out of ten, the internal investigators, fellow cops all, make public their findings of no wrong doing.  Things work exactly the same if an individual is part of the congressional club.

Massive, Passive, Civil Disobedience Now, or Armed Civil War

Back in 1996, Billy Beck wrote a piece, in response to a Usenet post, titled “Too Late For a Political Solution?”  I’ve had this post bookmarked for a number of years, and I occasionally re-read it as I observe the freedom destroying events taking place on a daily basis here in the United States.  Billy’s piece is distinctly more relevant today.

This commentary by Billy is particularly relevant today as so-called debates about DeathCare, and other State programs which destroy productivity and reward incompetence, degenerate into anger, physical violence and arrests, as I noted in my previous post titled Tick, Tick, Tick.  And make no mistake, politically things are tick, tick, ticking into some type of confrontation.

Tea parties, letters to Congressmen, townhall meetings and the like, news of which only make it into media headlines when uncivility rears its head, are ineffective and simply relieve pressure, temporarily, from the dissatisfaction actual freedom honoring individuals are burdened by.

Politically, life for individuals is becoming increasingly restrained and gagged.  Note the protests against cash for clunkers, bailouts of financial instiutions and what have you.  Have the protests against such forced socialist programs had any traction?  No, those who protest are laughed at, ignored, or, as in regards to Obama’s DeathCare program, those who criticize, pointing out the fallacies and implicit dangers of the State’s ideology, are flagged as dangers to the State’s grip around your neck.

I’d quote from Billy’s piece, but his insights deserve full review, so I shall not.  It is time for massive, passive, civil disobedience, now, or armed civil war will be brought to fruition.

Cloud Ships - Definitely a Scheme

The “global warming” alarmists, and their coterie of adherents, just do not give up in their attempts to further their agenda.  Of course the alarmists’ agenda always is funded with dollars from actual productive members of society, stolen or otherwise misappropriated for our own good, so they say.

Here is the latest scheme.

Ships with giant funnels which travel the world’s seas creating more clouds to deflect the sun’s rays could help cut global warming, say scientists.

Here’s Bjorn Lomborg’s take, author of The Skeptical Environmentalist, on cloud ships.

“The space sunshade is really just science fiction but cloud whitening ships deserve serious scrutiny,” he told The Times.

Here’s a question for Bjorn.  If space sunshades are “really just science fiction,”  why in the world should any individual give such a scheme any serious scrutiny what-so-ever, let alone any funding?

That Obama/Joker Poster

Best comment on the Obama/Joker poster, so far.

...the other question is whether there are any real substantive comparisons between Obama and the Joker. On the surface, they don’t seem at all alike. The Joker is psychotic, and I’ve heard Obama called a lot of things — arrogant, incompetent, deceitful, a Communist — but not psychotic. Obama doesn’t seem like he’s out to kill anyone — not even terrorists — and only leaves the option of killing people on the table to help make ends meet in his health care plan.

Also, the Joker seemed chaotic but was very careful in his planning, while the chaos from the Obama administration seems much more explainable by pure incompetence.

Furthermore, the Joker was actually somewhat subtle in how he tried to destroy Gotham by psychologically breaking down the will of its people, but Obama’s methods for destroying everything are a bit more ham-fisted, such as proposing expensive new programs while we’re already hugely in debt. Finally, the Joker has always been depicted with normal-sized ears.

And So It Begins

Yesterday, I noted a piece that stated the National Guard was hiring, internment guards and resettlement specialists.  Will the State of Alabama be the first to deploy these kapos?

The sheriff in Alabama’s most populous county may call for the National Guard to help maintain order, a spokesman said Tuesday, after a judge cleared the way for cuts in the sheriff’s budget and hopes dimmed for a quick end to a budget crisis.

Alabama is not the only state facing a budget crisis, and the national budget crisis is just now raising its head, and its appetite for Americans’ dollars makes Alabama’s budget crisis appear as being short a nickel for a dime candy bar.

Help Wanted Kapos - Civilian Internment Guards/Resettlement Specialists

It’s been some time since I last googled up the term civil unrest, and when I did, just now, an Examiner.com article titled Is martial law imminent?, caught my eye.  The help wanted ad reproduced in the linked article should raise the hackles of every American, though I am certain that the number of applicants applying to fill the kapos billets will far out number the number of available kapos positions.

“Correction Officer Internment / Resettlement Specialist”

“As an Internment/Resettlement Specialist for the Army National Guard, you will ensure the smooth running of military confinement/correctional facility or detention/internment facility, similar to those duties conducted by civilian Corrections Officers. This will require you to know proper procedures and military law; and have the ability to think quickly in high-stress situations. Specific duties may include assisting with supervision and management operations; providing facility security; providing custody, control, supervision, and escort; and counseling individual prisoners in rehabilitative programs.”

I am certain, that individuals who apply to fill such positions will be more than willing to severely apply the force of the State for your own good.
