You’ll Eat It and You’ll Like It, We Command It
The state’s top court (S.C.‘s) ruled unanimously Thursday that Gov. Mark Sanford must apply for the disputed $700 million in federal stimulus money.
The S.C. Supreme Court also took the rare step of issuing a writ of mandamus, which orders the governor to apply for the money.

NY Car Ticketed Repeatedly With Dead Body Inside
NYC Woman Believes Her Father Lay Dead Inside His Car For Weeks While Police Wrote Tickets Over And Over…A city marshal found the body of George Morales on Wednesday while trying to tow the minivan from beneath the Brooklyn-Queens Expressway overpass. Parking tickets and dust covered the vehicle.
Move along, citizen, there’s nothing to see, here.
Proclamations Without Credence
The soundbite headline reads Palin: Government Wants To “Control The People.”
Proclamations such as the one above, when uttered by a professional jobholder of any stripe, have no credence. The words, “government wants to control the people,” though they have meaning and loudly clang the reality of what goes on around us, when floated out of the mouth of any politician, have all the quality of a bong hit, inducing only a heady temporary high.
Yes’m, Master, May I Have Another?
Slavery, a most abominable institution, is not dead, but is become equal opportunity. You may call it a “soft slavery,” cheer for it, or deny it, yet it exists. The physical whips, shackles, and balls and chains associated with slavery may not be visible, none-the-less these implements are gradually being forged, link by link, and surrepitiously hammered around individuals’ necks, though some, ignorantly, accept the chains willingly.

Looking in the Wrong Direction
Reuters reports on a U.S. funded study under a headline reading, Democracy seen threatened by new authoritarianism, and the opening paragraph of this linked article names the following countries as the “new authoritarians.”
China, Iran, Russia and Venezuela form a clique of authoritarian states that use their wealth and influence to undermine global democracy and rule of law,...
The article continues,
“Just as they rule without law within their borders, authoritarian regimes are eroding the international rules and standards built up by the democratic world over the past several decades, threatening to export the instability and abuses that their systems engender,”...
Based on what is happening in the United States; summary dismissal of GM’s CEO, forcibly requiring banks to accept TARP funds, bankruptcy deals wherein first lien bondholders are short shifted and common stockholders wiped out; the United States of Amerika is the 500 pound gorilla adding credence to authoritarian governments throughout the world.
Prostituting the United States
In the movie Moulin Rouge, there is a character known only as The Argentinean who counsels with these words.
Never fall in love with a woman who sells herself. It always ends bad.
The Argentinean expands on this counsel in the following manner.
We have a dance in the brothels of Buenos Aires. It tells the story of the prostitute and a man who falls in love with her. First, there is desire. Then, passion. Then, suspicion. Jealousy. Anger. Betrayal. When love is for the highest bidder, there can be no trust. Without trust, there can be no love. Jealousy, yes, jealousy will drive you mad.
I thought of the above words, taken from a fantasy movie, as I read two separate articles this morning. The first article is titled Benefit spending soars to new high, and the second article is titled Canadian leader stumps for Obamacare.
The United States is the world’s prostitute and Obama is her pimp. As The Argentinean notes, individuals, both here in America and around the world, who have foolishly fallen in love with a prostitute, are going through the stages noted in the lines of The Argentinean, and things will end bad.
Desire, for the unearned, has been growing since the days Franklin D. Roosevelt. Passion for the unearned, and Obama the unearned promise pimp, has been rising ever since Obama sat and talked with Oprah. Suspicions, that some one individual will receive an unearned tryst that some one other individual believes should be their unearned tryst, already percolate amongest the various special interest groups groveling at Obama the United States pimp’s feet. As for jealousy, jealousy has always been, and always will be, stoked by the pimp and the prostitute, as the proper cultivation of jealousy assists the pimp in retaining power over the prostitute, and the individuals hoping for an unearned tryst with the prostitute. Anger, at not receiving the unearned, is petulantly expressed, for now, but may very well not remained contained. And this anger will not only be the response of those who believe they deserve the unearned. This anger will be even more potent when it lashes out from individuals who have produced, and thus earned, and who are once again being pimped to the unearned by Obama. Betrayal, betrayal takes place on a daily equal opportunity basis. Obama the pimp betrays not only the hordes clamoring for the unearned, but the producers who earn, in order to remain The Pimp, selling the United States like a common whore.
Trust, there is no trust, and jealousy abounds.

If it Walks Like A Duck and Quacks Like a Duck it’s A Duck
Evidently, certain individuals are hesitant to label Obama and Congress as socialist, for fear of seeming too “right wing extremist,” possibly, thus ending up on the Homeland Security Department’s “right wing extremist” list. Let me tell you, America is burrowing deeper and deeper into the iron bands of socialism.
...By what standard is government ownership of 72% of a company less than “true” socialism?
Quote, above, is taken from a piece titled So who owns “socialism”? posted at Classical Values.
