Scrambled Eggs and Rahm

In an ABC news item yesterday, titled Emanuel: I’m Getting Death Threats Over Blagojevich Scandal, Rahm Emanuel, president-elect Obama’s choice for Chief of Staff, is questioned about whether he is the unnamed presidential advisor referred to in the FBI affidavit which lays out the charges against Blagojevich for allegedly attempting to sell Obama’s vacant senate seat to the highest bidder.  Here is Rahm’s response to the question.

“You’re wasting your time,” Emanuel told a Chicago Sun Times reporter yesterday. “I’m not going to say a word to you. I’m going to do this with my children. Don’t do that. I’m a father. I have two kids. I’m not going to do it.”

If I have ever read a more scrambled response to a direct question, I cannot recall where.  Does Rahm’s response have any meaning at all?  First he states that “I’m not going to say a word to you,” then he babbles out “I’m going to do this with my children.  Don’t do that.  I’m a father.  I have two kids.  I’m not going to do it.”  What the hell does all that mean, in response to the question at hand?  Absolutely nothing.  And this guy is going to be a mouthpiece for words drooling out of Obama’s mouth?

What is going on here, in regards to unanswered questions about Blagojevich, his greedy overreach, and the favor trade of the corrupt politcal machine which is Illinois politics, is simply delaying tactics as Obama and his team of crooks enforce their version of omerta or the police code of silence while they arm twist, call in favors and setup the appropriate fall guy to protect the supposed gilded facade of Obama.

As for Obama’s role in this, let me assure you, it will be “found” to be nonexistent.  After all, he is currently the consumate politician of the day, at the head of the class, and in this rotten class, the consumate politician does not rise to the top by carelessly leaving any skeletons to be found in the closets.  And, if any skeletons were to be found with dead, bony fingers pointing at Obama, rest assured that Obama’s faithful will have some sucker prepared to immolate himself for the king by claiming that the dead, bony fingers are not pointing at Obama but at himself.

Harbinger?

Sometimes events occur which signal changes of major significance for society as a whole, but the events which cause the change are not recognized as such until after the fact.  I am not saying that a bomb, found outside a bank in Oregon, which explodes killing a police officer signals a seismic shift in individuals’ attitudes.  What I am saying is that current economic conditions, coupled with increasing government interference and meddling in not only economic markets but individual lives, is quite possibly leading to a period of violent actions against the government, and, more noteworthy, businesses and individuals which are feeding at the government’s tit at the expense of productive individuals who have no truck with the state and desire none.

Illinois Gov. Rod R. Blagojevich is a Piker Compared to Obama

President-elect Obama raised nearly $1 billion dollars to buy his way into the presidency.  The current news that Illinois Gov. Rod R. Blagojevich has been arrested, for allegedly attempting to sell Obama’s vacant senate seat, explicitly shows that Blagojevich is a mere piker compared to Obama.

Understand That Capitalism is the ONLY Moral Way

It seems that very few individuals understand that capitalism is the ONLY moral way for a society to function.  Any other ism, whether socialism, fascism, communism, altruism or what-have-youism which is preached as moral and good for society is in fact immoral and evil.  Those who promote these evils, whatever ism they are promoting, are promoting death, your death.

Billy Beck understands this, as evidenced from the linked post from which the following words have been gleaned.

To divorce “economics” from morality, as if it had no moral component and people really were the virtual lab-rats that they are taken for in contemporary “models”, is to invite endless debate of the sort that many have very foolishly thought settled. That folly is now being demonstrated.

Craig Biddle, writing for Capitalism Magazine, also appears to understand that capitalism, which is economics, is the only moral way to live, and provides a somewhat lengthy (5,685 words), though thoroughly understandable, lesson why this is so in a piece titled Capitalism and the Moral High Ground.  From Biddle’s piece.

If human beings are to act on their rational judgment, they must be free to act on it. Capitalism is the social system that recognizes this fact and upholds the principle of individual rights. But according to the dominant morality today, altruism, the individual does not and cannot have a right to act on his own judgment for his own sake, because the individual has a “duty” to sacrifice his judgment and thus his life for the sake of others.

Embrace morality, live for yourself.

Protocol for Processing Prisoners

“We call this the barbershop,” said House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, a California Democrat. “Everybody’s getting a haircut here, in terms of the conditions of the bill,” she said, noting the likely impact on labor, bondholders, shareholders, car dealers, suppliers and executives. “The management itself has to take a big haircut on all of this.”

That’s Nancy Pelosi, reminding everyone that the state is in power, with the ability to FORCE you to do what the state desires you to do, and her haircut metaphor is more than appropriate in regards to the matter of which she is speaking.  Prisoners in all parts of the world are subject to the haircut, and while today the hair removed from individuals’ heads is no longer used to stuff mattresses, or form seals for submarine periscopes, the degradation and humiliation associated with haircuts, particularly shaved heads, is as powerful a means of control as it was in the gulags of Soviet Russia or the concentration camps of Germany.

TSA (Totally Silly Assumptions)

What has the Transportation Security Administration accomplished since its knee jerk inception after the events of September 11, 2001?  Though their website makes claims of enhanced security for us poor, suffering, at the mercy of terrorists sheeple, their claims are dubious, though the TSA has spent billions to infuse a feeling of safety and security into the population.

Writing for the Christian Science Monitor, Becky Akers advocates, and rightly so, the end of the TSA in a piece titled End, don’t mend, the Transportation Security Administration.  From Akers’ piece.

The TSA has always been a political, not practical, response to 9/11. It hassles us at checkpoints not because of penetrating insights on security or some brilliant breakthrough, but because politicians handed it power. Specialists in security didn’t invent the TSA; the Bush administration imposed it on us. So we might hope the incoming president would abolish this absurd agency.

Unfortunately, Barack Obama wants to improve the TSA rather than send it packing. His suggestions for that improvement? Passengers still aren’t screened against a comprehensive terrorist watch list, his website proclaims. Such a list must be developed.

Why? The watch list has already kept Rep. John Lewis (D) of Georgia and Sen. Ted Kennedy (D) of Massachusetts off planes: Will a comprehensive list bar Republican congressmen, too? That’ll protect us about as well as unionizing screeners will – another change the campaigning Obama said he favors.

Health Care Advice from a Real American to Obama and Daschle

President-elect Obama and former senator Tom Daschle are soliciting advice on how to fix the health care system.  Seven simple words of advice should suffice.

Trained Monkeys

A few weeks ago, when the Big 3 automaker CEOs went to Washington to beg at the cannibal pot, they flew into town on their private jets.  This, of course, raised the hackles of the professional jobholders, who have to fly commercial jets to get anywhere, unless, of course, the professional jobholder is professional enough to stack a claim to a government jet from time to time due to their alleged professionalness.

The Big 3 automaker CEOs were thoroughly chastised by the professional jobholders for having the cheek to come a begging at the cannibal pot in their private jets, and were sent away empty handed.

But, all is not lost for the Big 3 automaker CEOs, as they are readily trainable, as good monkeys are wont to be, as is evidenced by the following.

The head of the nation’s largest automaker took perhaps the most important car ride of his life Wednesday, traveling 500 miles, mostly over highway through four states, to Washington, D.C., where he will ask Congress for a second time to save his slumping company.

Two weeks ago Rick Wagoner flew to Washington on a corporate jet. This time the chief executive of General Motors Corp. made the trip in one of his company’s black hybrid Chevrolet Malibus, driving part of the way. He periodically made calls on his cell phone while in the passenger seat and wore sunglasses to protect from the glare of a sunny day…

All three CEOs made the trip to Washington in high-mileage hybrid vehicles—the types of cars critics say the Detroit Three should have been making more of instead of becoming enamored of higher-profit, less fuel-efficient vehicles like SUVs and Hummers.

I say let all three of the Big 3 automakers fall flat on their monkey grinning collective dumb faces, and as for the professional jobholders brandishing the whips and hoops for the monkeys to jump through, they should all be flogged and made to run cross country begging for their very lives.

Not just another car ride for GM CEO Wagoner

Diamond Hound

Geology is a fascinating field, and though an amateur myself, find rocks and their history and secrets fascinating.  Here’s a guy, Chuck Fipke, a geologist naturally, who’s a diamond hound, and a damn fine one at that, who has profited handsomely, and sounds like a man of perserverance and independence.  In other words, an individual profiting from his mind, through action.  A few words from Chuck Fipke.

“Hey,” he says, “here’s the thing. I learned that I did my best. I mean, I really tried my best. How many people can say that? I worked hard, and I mean really hard. I worked seven days a week from 8 am until 3 am. Every day. We drilled and drilled all winter when it was dark and the windchill was 80 below. Everyone thought I was crazy. But most people just never do their best, hey. And I did.”
